The Northern Ireland Local Government Officers' Superannuation Committee has selected Wellington Management Company to be its active bond investment manager.
Wellington Management Company will manage a mandate worth approximately £350m, which represents 10% of the total fund's assets, based on figures from 31 December 2011.
In the tender alert, the fund stated that it wanted the successful manager to have a wide range of capabilities in bond management, including absolute return, global bonds and high yield.
The fund received 19 offers for the position, but Wellington Management Company won the contract, which is worth £200m.
