Pensions and benefits consultant Hymans Robertson has announced the appointment of Tom Dunster to its research team.

Dunster will head the firm's equity research, as senior investment research consultant.

Prior to his appointment, Dunster was head of fund research at C. Hoare & Co, where he worked for six years.

He was included in 2016's PAM Top 40 under 40 and has also held previous roles at Principal Investment Management (now Sanlam Private Wealth) and HSBC Asset Management.

"I'm thrilled to join the expert team at Hymans Robertson especially as we approach such a pivotal time for investment consultancy," he said, "I am looking forward to the challenge of finding the right equity solutions to meet clients' requirements as both the industry and the market backdrop evolve."

Meanwhile, pensions administration specialist, Trafalgar House, has also announced further expansion of its team, with the appointment of Peter Laurence as senior pensions associate.

Peter joins Trafalgar House from Willis Towers Watson where he had been Pensions Co-ordinator since 2013.

He brings almost 15 years' experience in pensions administration, having held roles at Capita Employee Benefits, Aspen Actuaries & Pension Consultants and Paymaster. Peter holds the PMI Diploma in Pension Calculations.
