The current Pensions Ombudsman and the Pension Protection Fund Ombudsman has bee reappointed for a third term, the Department for Work and Pensions announced.
Tony King will begin his third term from 1 September 2013 after his current contract expires on 31 August this year and will be paid £129,579 a year from the date of his reappointment.
Pensions Minister Steve Webb said: "King is well-respected by the pensions industry, with a strong track record of achievements. During his tenure he has transformed the work of the Pensions Ombudsman delivering much higher output and improved customer service."
King was first appointed as the Pensions Ombudsman in September 2007 for three years and was reappointed for a second three-year term in September 2010.
