The Shropshire County Pension Fund has appointed Legal and General Assurance as the fund's passive global equity manager.

Legal and General Assurance was selected after Shropshire Council received three offers for the tender.

The newly appointed investment manager will work on a segregated or pooled basis with a client specific performance objective for the Shropshire County Pension Fund.

In a separate tender, the pension fund has also appointed Investec Asset Management and NGAM UK Ltd to manage its unconstrained global equity portfolio.

The two investment managers were selected after six offers were received and they will be managing the portfolio on a segregated or pooled basis with a client specific performance objective.
