Shropshire County Pension Fund has appointed Brevan Howard Asset Management as a multi-strategy hedge fund manager.
In a tender, Shropshire Council on behalf of the pension fund originally stated that it was looking to appoint one or more investment managers on a segregated or pooled basis with a client specific performance objective for the scheme's hedge fund portfolio.
After receiving 30 offers, Brevan Howard was selected and will start its role on 1 August this year.
