Mercer has launched an interactive forum, which aims to stimulate debate about the challenges surrounding defined contribution (DC) provision.

Mercer's DC Forum, which is entitled Enabling Better Outcomes, is targeted at trustees, finance directors and HR directors, and it will run in nine different locations across the UK from 4th June 2013.

Topics such as evolving regulation, planning for a solid investment journey to manage risk and return and setting clear and realistic objectives for optimum member and employer outcomes will be covered.

Brian Henderson, UK head of DC at Mercer, said: "The Forum will provoke consideration of DC provision in its entirety and not just in the classic silos often used, such as investment or communication.

"It will allow delegates to assess how effective pension planning should work, when the aim is to achieve better outcomes for all. We plan to open the lid on the strategies needed to make DC schemes work harder to achieve those better outcomes."

He added: "Our expert speakers are amongst the most experienced and knowledgeable in the UK pensions industry. I am looking forward to providing our delegates with a real insight into the impact they can make if they approach DC with fresh eyes."
