Midcounties Co-op scheme hires fiduciary manager

The Midcounties Co-operative Pension Scheme has appointed Towers Watson as a fiduciary manager.
Trustees of the scheme, which according to its latest accounts has around £138m assets, selected Towers Watson following a competitive tender.
Chris Ford, Towers Watson EMEA head of investment, said: "We are delighted that the Midcounties trustee has appointed us in this delegated role, which we believe is the best way to address governance challenges and make the most of investment opportunities."
In June this year, Towers Watson was hired as a fiduciary manager for the Lafarge UK Pension Plan.
