The Environment Agency Pension Fund has hired an asset manager to invest in, and administer, 'real' assets for its globally diversified segregated portfolio of funds.
The contract, estimated to be £2m, was awarded to The Townsend Group after the agency received 13 offers.
In the tender alert, the Environment Agency stated that it wanted the asset manager to be capable of selecting, implementing, monitoring and reporting on the performance of its globally diversified segregated portfolio of funds investing in real assets with an estimated value of up to £250m.
